June 1 to August 1, 2019, (76) youth were placed in internships and employment opportunities across Rio Arriba County, the City of Espanola and Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo.
Summer Youth Empowerment Project+ internships, service learning, and leadership training Partners included: Northern New Mexico College Española Public Schools HSD/DEA 360 National Park Service Tewa Women United Moving Arts Española Workforce Connections Project RACE Wild Life Center Mesa Prieta Petroglyph Project Los Luceros Historic Ranch Healthy Kids-Department of Health and Human Services Las Cumbres Family Service, Rio Arriba Community Health Council HELP New Mexico Work Force Connections/SER Jobs for Progress Guadalupe Credit Union Moving Arts Española Help NM Rio Arriba County (HELP NM): Eight (8) Youth Interns; 2 Boys and 6 Girls; Ages 16-18. Moving Arts Española (MAE): Thirteen (13) Youth Interns Mentors; 5 Boys and 8 Girls; Ages 13-24. Project RACE (City of Española): Twenty-Five (25) Youth Interns; 12 Boys and 13 Girls; Ages 15-18. Work Force Connections/SER Jobs for Progress: Fifteen (15) Youth Interns; 8 Boys and 7 Girls; Ages 15-18. Mesa Prieta Petroglyph Project: Fifteen (15) Youth Interns; 9 Boys and 6 Girls; Ages 16-17. Total Youth Interns Engaged: 76 Youth 36 Boys and 40 Girls Ages 13-24
