According to the Santa Fe Community College's website: Students can earn an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Film or a Certificate (CERT) in Film Production through SFCC’s Film Program, where you can prepare for a career working in the New Mexico film industry. Santa Fe iattracting film and television productions, as well as actors and crews from around the world and SFCC graduates can be found in New Mexico working as location managers, camera assistants, electricians, grips and many own small businesses creating and producing film and media. A new Bachelor's Degree in Cinema and Technology is also available through the Santa Fe Higher Education Center. SFCC FILM now has an articulation to IAIA’s Cinema and Technology BFA program. Students completing an AAS in Film Production, Screenwriting and Film Studies or Documentary and Environmental Media can start as first semester juniors at IAIA. Film Career Opportunities include: Media and Film Education, Digital Imaging, Documentary Filmmaker, Editorial Assistant, Production Assistant, Production Coordinator, Production Technician, Film/Video Producer and/or Director, Film Researcher, Media Planner, Screenwriter, or Film Critic.
